More details on the social programme

Social Programme : what to do before and after the science sessions

On Sunday evening, you are invited to a welcome reception at the 2nd floor of the Conference Center Couvent des Jacobins, with a terrace offering a gorgeous view of the city : registration, buffet, drinks…

On Monday evening, the conference dinner will be preceded by a cocktail reception in the cloister of the Conference Center. The dinner will take place at the 1st floor. It will be animated by a traditional Breton music band. After dinner, you will be able to learn some breton dances and participate to a Fest Noz, the “night ball” whose tradition is still very vivid all over the region.

On these occasions, you will be able to admire some of the modern art works presented in the “Debout!” exhibition of the Pinault Art Collection which will open the 23rd June in the same building. Please note that the access to the exhibition will be closed on Monday 25, but you can visit it on Sunday or Tuesday (open until 19:00). More details can be found there: https://www.tourisme-rennes.com/en/stand-up-exhibition-pinault-collection

Rennes is famous for its exciting nightlife, with a large diversity of bars, cafes, pubs, restaurants, creperies, and the Conference Center is right in the medieval city center where the density of bars is the highest.

Of course, many Bretons are football fans, so if you fancy watching the World Cup matches in a lively atmosphere, there will be plenty of opportunities…

The organizing committee will be happy to advise you.
